June 20, 2003--Gabe Kapler, sent to the minors on June 17, was given his unconditional release by Colorado yesterday.

May 9, 2003--Yavneh Academy guard Ian "Itzy" Ribald was named first-team All-State. The orthodox 6-2 sharpshooter averaged 33 ppg this season. Learn more about Itzy here.
NFL Draft Recap
April 30, 2003--In the NFL Draft held last weekend, only one Jewish gridiron star was drafted: DE Antonio Garay of Boston College, who fell to the Browns in the 5th round due to injuries. LB Ben Mahdavi of Washington and OL Mike Saffer of UCLA were signed by the Falcons as undrafted free agents.
Drossin Sets US Mark
April 15, 2003--Last weekend, Deena Drossin, who has been running marathons for less than 2 years, took 5 seconds off the 18 year old record of Joan Benoit running 2:21.16 to place third in the London Marathon. Drossin smashed her previous personal best of 2:26.53.
Goldstein Named Circuit Player of the Week
April 9, 2003--Paul Goldstein posted the best results of an American at last week's 2003 Pensacola Men's Futures, reaching--but, unfortunately, losing--the finals in both singles and doubles.
Krause, Citing Health Concerns, Resigns
April 7, 2003--Longtime Bulls' GM Jerry Krause resigned today, citing undisclosed minor healthy problems. Krause had been the Chicago GM since 1985.
