Pitt's women's basketball team was led to a 77-66 win over Georgetown by freshman G Laine Selwyn of Coral Springs, FL this week, who notched a career-high 21 points.
Braverman Loses Scholie
Virginia K Todd Braverman, coming off an up and down season, had his scholarship revoked by UVa's coaching staff earlier this week. He has vowed to continue playing for the team.
Drossin Wins Third Straight Nat'l Title
Deena Drossin won her third consecutive eight-kilometer title in the USA Winter Cross Country Championships on Saturday. She also won the four-kilometer title.

Krayzelburg is at it Again!
American Lenny Krayzelburg broke the short course100m backstroke world record yesterday with a time of 51.28. This is the 4th world record for Krayzelburg in the last 6 months.
Fleisher in Lead
Senior golfer Bruce Fleisher posted 8 birdies yesterday to take the lead in the Royal Caribbean Open in Key Biscayne, FL. He leads Walter Hall by one point (stableford system) going into Sunday's final round.
Sophomore forward David Bluthenthal Named Pac-10 Player of the Week
Bluthenthal averaged 22.0 points and 17.5 rebounds in the Trojans' sweep of the Arizona schools. He had 18 points and a USC-record-tying 28 rebounds against Arizona State and a career-high 26 points and seven rebounds vs. Arizona. It is Bluthenthal's first such honor.
USC's Bluthenthal Big in 95-92 win over ASU
David Bluthenthal tied a Trojan record in rebounds, pulling down 28 on the night. He finished with 18 points.
Shahar Gordon to Leave Cal after Basketball Season
6'10" Sophomore F/C will return to Israel to fulfill military commitment. Gordon's military service begins April 2.
Quick Exits for Goldstein
Up-and-coming US tennis star Paul Goldstein lost on consecutive days this week at the Aussie Open, first in singles to Lleyton Hewitt, then in doubles. Also Down Under, Anna Smashnova made a first-round exit with a straight sets loss to Chanda Rubin.

USC F David Bluthenthal has been providing the Trojans scoring and outside touch in his second collegiate season. He is averaging 11.5 points and shooting 32% from 3 point range...Oklahoma St. PG Doug Gottleib is averaging 7.6 points and an NCAA-leading 9.7 assists...Rice C Alex Bougaieff is scoring 12 points a game and grabbing 7.1 rebounds...SDSU G David Abramowitz is hitting for 7 points a game and making over 80% of his free throws.
